Robinson to Taylor, OUT
big appeal, and it's given! England have constantly looked for the lbw against Taylor, and they've got it now. No review from the batter either. Beautifully bowled. Perfect length, nipping in ever so slightly from outside off. Taylor's front pad comes in the way of bringing his bat down in a straight line as he looks to play this to mid-on/midwicket, and the ball sneaks past the inside edge to thud into pad, in line with middle and off or thereabouts. Pretty sure that was crashing into leg stump, possibly a part of middle too

Mark Wood bowls a frankly heroic 15th over, still bending his back and sending down short balls and bouncers to keep Henry Nicholls alert.

Devon Conway is the 219th player to make a Test debut at Lord's and now the highest scorer.

Three wickets down on the first day of a Test match, even with the wicket set fair, when you haven't played for five months and are against two experienced opponents in Broad and Anderson in particular, you know it is going to be a battle.
Because New Zealand haven't scored quickly there is a chance England can come back tomorrow. New Zealand still have some work to do but which shed would you rather be in tonight? New Zealand's, I think.
