I know this is not the playoffs or the finals, but this victory over TKR feels good, and it has nothing to do with curry. I like the fact that local talent in Hemraj, Hetmyer, Shepherd, and Keemo Paul were mainly responsible for this victory. One thing I can say about the bunch of young talent from Guyana, they have inculcated a culture of winning. This is the mindset we want for our young cricketers. Yes, they choked four times in the CPL finals, but hey, they won the vast majority of the games they played, hence the 4 CPL finals appearances, and the five straight 4-day titles. Just saying.

They ONLY "choked" because the VENUE is fixed i.e. QPO
BUT note venue is NOT : QPO for 4 days and same guys win 5 straight ! ;)

see the contradiction ?

I DARE the CPL organisers to keep the Final at PROVIDENCE

and then let's see "whom will choke "

Guyana Amazon Warriors. Table toppers, unbeaten, full of confidence. What could go wrong?

Well, eight balls into the game, they lost four wickets to Oshane Thomas and Derval Green.

Intriguingly, both of them were on hat-tricks
at that stage, with Thomas' wickets coming off the last two balls of the first over
and Green's off the first two balls of the second.

Amazon Warriors won by 77 runs :woohoo:

Come back this evening to PROVIDENCE and find out if the Warriors
can become the first team to complete an undefeated 10-0 CPL regular season ;)

A record-setting winning streak shows no signs of slowing down in the CPL playoffs

as Guyana Amazon Warriors became the first team in CPL history to go a perfect 10 for 10

in the regular season, closing out the league phase in confident fashion with a seven-wicket win

over defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders at Providence.

The cherry on top came in the 18th off Chris Jordan.
Nicholas Pooran took a length ball off the stumps and flicked a jawdropping shot with powerful wrist work
high over square leg for another six. It took the equation under a run a ball with 12 off 14 needed.
He brought up his half-century off 34 balls in the next over off Khan converting an attempted yorker
through long-off for a boundary, then iced the match carving another four over point,
bringing up 1000 career CPL runs in the process.

Guyana Amazon won by 7 wickets : with 8 balls remaining ~~~

10 STRAIGHT
