I don’t know if gayle
has done enough to win this match, but his contribution to WI - despite a long running feud — and international cricket is enormous all told

Shai Hope is the ideal candidate on take on the Indian spinners here. Across his ODI career, he has scored 1127 runs averaging 86.7 against spin bowlers. Since his debut, only Kohli (1360), Rohit (1233) and Root (1145) have scored more runs facing spin in ODIs.

As an avid lifelong cricket fan, i don’t remember any international matches in my childhood being scheduled in August outside England. There are twoTests &anODI being played today and all 3, predictably,have been ruined by rain. Can’t the cricket authorities read weather reports?

India is ensuring that they play regular bowlers, but West Indies have dropped two regular bowlers. Somebody please tell West Indies it is not a T20 encounter, bowlers need to pick wickets, bits and pieces players don’t serve always. This has been the case since 2004 for WI
