Thanks for sharing that article page, really interesting to be reading a piece of ancient history and see how the game was seen in the past.

Whenever one of these 'greatest of all time lists' gets published there is always debates about who should be in there and who shouldn't. The sport as changed greatly and still continues to, so how can you even compare a player that played in 1920 to one that plays now?

There are ways in which to compare players such as what kind of impact they have had on the sport, but we surely can't say that a player that scored 5 100's in 1916 is better or worse than a player that scores 5 100's in 2016 so we can't measure greatness on the field across such a wide number of years.

Of course this is just a list, and many times it only reflects the opinion of the journalist or publication making that list. To make it more credible it would be great that people could vote, but to be honest I am not seeing any media to go through all that work, they just prefer to gather up some names and that's it.
