Who was the Portuguese quarter?
Ivor Mendonca actually descended from Portuguese, funny that he ended up being a relevant player in a sport with no tradition in Portugal.

lol my mistake sorry, after all Portuguese quarter North is actually a location (Maha Kali Mandir) in Port Mourant, that did produce some famous cricket players:
"This little village has produced a number of famous cricketers for example Rohan Kanhai, Basil Butcher, Joe Solomon, Alvin Kallicharran, Randolph Ramnarace, Ivan Madray and John Trim." (from wikipedia)
