Cricket - a sport that generates billions in TV revenues split so unevenly between ten teams that the infrastructure can't deal with rain

While we lament Test cricket conditions around the world, lets take a moment to realise that Pakistan, who don't play at home, are No.1.

Pakistan have done wonderfully well to reach No 1. And they've done so with a dignified accomplished man as captain

Time for the presentation
Virat Kohli:
Lot of play stations and training in the gym," he laughs, when asked about the team's schedule for the last four days. "It's pretty disappointing to turn up and see there's no play. We all want to do something or the other. Someone's been doing something or the other. At the ground, we've been itching to do something. I said it when we became No. 1 that it was a short-term incentive. Other sides have played 10-15 Tests more than us, so it will keep switching. We can judge ourselves better at the end of our home season.

Jason Holder:
It was a difficult series for us, but we had quite a few positives. We looked set to compete at certain stages of the game. We just have to close out crucial moments in the game. At crucial stages, we faltered a bit in this series. Going forward, we need to seize those moments. India played some very good cricket, they had people put their hands up at different times. Credit should be given to them.
We're looking forward (to the series against Pakistan in UAE).
The bowlers have put their hands up in the last few games,
hopefully we'll compete better. ..
