Who would've thought Sri Lanka would be eyeing a series win in seven days
after being rolled over for 117 in the first innings?
It's that man Rangana Herath, who not long ago said 300 Test wickets
was what he had left to achieve in his career. .

Just seen the highlights of this now. Commentators said this was only the second ever hat-trick by a Sri Lankan bowler. Good use of DRS to overturn the not out decision, although it gave a little bit of an anti-climatic feel to Herath's hat-trick. I'm not sure he will mind though.
That is two very un-Steve Smith-like dismissals in back-to-back Tests.
This is why we love Test cricket. 21 wickets fall in a days play, Starc takes 11 wickets in the match, Sri Lanka are bowled out for a total of 518 runs in their two innings, and yet are in a commanding position to take a 2-0 series lead.

MDK Perera to Warner, OUT, big appeal for lbw, umpire Gaffney's finger goes up. Warner has a chat with Smith and opts to challenge the decision. This was the straighter one from Dilruwan. Flatter and quicker and raps the front pad. The tracker shows that it would hit the leg stump. Warner probably anticipated the turn and did not play down the line. Beaten on the inside of the bat, Smith will not like this. SL need six wickets to wrap this one up

MDK Perera to Smith, OUT, Pops up and drops into the lap of backward short leg. Another big, big appeal for SL. This is not given from ump Gaffney. Mathews wants a review. Was there a tickle there? Smith uses his feet again. He does not meet the pitch of this high tossed-up offbreak. The ball brushes the top of the front pad, the bat may have turned on impact with the pad as Smith aimed to defend. Nibbles the inside edge near the top part of the pad and lobs to Mendis at backward short leg. Dilruwan is pleased. SL need five wickets to win this
