What has happened to Guyanans?
At on point you could set the standard of Caribbean Cricket by the products of Guyana but now they cannot produce a reasonable cricketer.
King was a joke, Beaton seems beaten and on drugs and Shiv was poker nothing more.
Sarwan was truly a potential great if he had brains and mental touighness but Guyana is frimly at the bottom of the pile.
My favourite cricketer ever is a Guyanan in Rohan but with Kalli's departure Guyanan contribution to world cricket has been zero.
Is it the administration? Is it the people? What is it?
A strong Guyanan production line is good for the Windies.
Thoughts?

Guyanans all silent....
You think of Rohan, Kalli, Freddo, Butcher now a talentless Hetmeyer is being touted as the next best thing to come out of Mudland!
The Mudlanders set the bar high for great Windian players but cannot seem to produce good club cricketers.
The administration is in tatters, the even produced the crappiest Chairman of Selectors since another Guyanan disaster in Butts and that rich Cricketing tradition seems dead...

The Guyanese infidels have actually produced no great cricketers.
It is a common misconception that Kanhai, Kali, Hooper, Roy and Chanders were Guyanese, but recent DNA tests by the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Propaganda, have conclusively confirmed that they are 100 percent Trini.
They're winning all the domestic 4 day tournaments, though.

Ha ha ha....
It is bit like Yorkshire for England in the past.
Such a rich tradition but the production line seemed to have stopped.
BTW no genuine Trini would claim anything Guyanan.....except The Babu perhaps.

Of course there is Bishoo who is a good cricketer but there is always the concern of him being over bowled....

I have high hopes from the members of the under 19 team. Talents like Hetmyer, Joseph, etc can be guided to become great players. They need proper guidance but there is no leadership at the West Indies Cricket board.

Joseph certainly looked promising and really should stay away from the T20 format.
