this is a weak side.
Samuels can bat I guess but he is what 35 now and may or may not score when he goes out. most times he does not score.
Fletcher and Charles are a combined waste of time far worse than Williams and Campbell used to be as a pair. those 2 guys can barely be called first class batsmen. and they are both at least 30 years old by now..are they.
Ramdin is neither here nor there by now. he shud be looking towards retirement at this stage
they made 116!!!!! that's a lot for this absolutely ridiculous and incompetent batting team in representation of the west indies.
lil Bravo, Pollard, Narine, Taylor, Holder -iffy...only those can be called worthy on this side.
and as soon as the Saffies catch themselves they will blitz this west indies team as well.
oh well. I have long gorne anyway. those 2 championships in Oz shud not bline west indians to the reality of their cricket being strangled to death by the wicb/ICC at the moment

This West Indian team was fortunate to have won against SA but they did and credit due with Narine getting a 6for and some good performances but even then you can see this team is unbalanced.
My greatest amazement is the continual selection of seasoned failure Fletcher. He would have had his stocks boosetd by his World T20 performances but still how long does it take for the selectors to realise?
I think you shoul always select your best team and with the rules as it is this is not happening but said rules are being ignored conveniently as under such rules, as I understand it, both Narine and Pollard should not be in that team.
I have continually said, if you have Ramdin batting anywhere above 7 or 8 in any West Indian team, it clearly points to a very weak batting lineup. He is the best keeper and I would always view that position as a specialist one but as a batsman he is not really up to it.
Why Bishoo is not playing all formats for the Windies is beyond me.
All this said if this is the team the selectors are hell bent on then they have to be given an opportunity to play as a team and start stringing performances together. So make no changes and let them continue to do the best tehy can.....this may well not be good enough.
Come the faster wickets, I can only see more thrashing for the Windies although I think the likes of Charles, Fletcher and Brathwaite might come into their own given their brand of batting.
Watching ODI cricket in the Windies is quite difficult due to the paucity of pitches.
Going for the saffers tomorrow.
