Poster Ramesh, I beg to differ. As a blackman I must first respect myself and carry myself with dignity before I can expect others to respect me. There is a time and place for making jokes.
I have never seen the great Clive Lloyd or Viv Richards behave in such a lewd manner!

I disagree! There was no assault on Gayle! There were comments because of his behavior. My heroes from the 80s never complained about assault they received, and they were many. Instead they took it like men and return the favor by assaulting blows with bat and ball. They made the world stood up and applaud their abilities!
As a black man I feel insulted when my fellow blacks behave in a lewd manner. I don't see Bolt behaving like that and he has probably done many more interviews than Gayle will ever do, all over the world. We black people do not hesitate to shoot ourselves in the foot!

Beg to differ how much you want, but at the end of the day Gayle expresses himself the way he sees that is appropriate, and all you black people who think that white people must define proud black people are nothing but hypocrites and uncle toms;
All of you still has the master slave perspective

I am a big gayle fan but asking a reporters from she ever been with a Blackman is out of line
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Ramesh your comments are disappointing.
Pride does not equate to lewd behaviour. Why would anyone want to, in their place of work particularly, ask such impertinent questions?
If anything, Gayle's continual inappropriate behaviour only serves to reinforce stereotypes.
Would you like your sister or daughter to be spoken to in that manner whilst interviewing a sportsman?
