As it turned out, Leicestershire had a pre-match agreement with Sri Lanka to declare after a maximum of 100 overs, hence the reason they didn't bat the day out.

Thanks , now the dec at exactly 100 overs makes sense :-[
they should have agreed : + SL 1st innings deficit of the same 100 or 125 .

So excited to finally watch some Test match cricket, though a quick check of the 5-day forecast makes for some grim reading. :'(
I really hope Mother Nature holds up and spares us.
It was confirmed that Steven Finn will make the playing XI with Jake Ball missing out.
