Another must win game for England. Afghanistan will provide a stiff test. They performed well against Sri Lanka, and South Africa and certainly belong at this level.
Given England's historical struggles against lower ranked teams in World Cup history, and the fact that Afghanistan have won the most T20 matches over the last 2 years, it wouldn't surprise me if an upset were to occur, especially if England fail to improve their bowling in the power play.
Speaking of which, Liam Plunkett comes into the England team in place of Reece Topley, though there is no place in the side for Liam Dawson as England opt to go with just the two spinners. Dawson's county teammate James Vince, however, is included as Alex Hales misses out due to a dodgy back.
Eoin Morgan wins the toss and England will have a bat first.

Roy cleaned bowled. Great over from Hamza. England already struggling against the spinners. Not a good sign given this Afghanistan side is chock full of them. 16/1 (3 ovs).

Vince chips one back to Nabi and departs for a quick fire 22. A shame as he was looking in good touch. 42/2 (5.3 ovs).

Eoin Morgan with an epic brainfart. Oh deary me. He has left one that has gone straight on and knocked his stumps over. Why would he leave that? Why? Nabi on a hat-trick and England in some trouble. Ugh.

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! What is going on?!?! Root run out. A huge mix up. Stokes had no intention of going for a single, Root sets off any way. Nabi breaks the bails in excitement but still has enough time and peace of mind to pick up the stump and complete the run out.
3 wickets in the over. Disaster for England. Afghanistan have their tails up and in full control. 42/4 (6 ovs).

Buttler goes. What a catch. A ripper. England are in a state of disbelief. Afghanistan are carving this England XI apart. 50/5.
The only thing more embarrassing than England's performance so far is this crowd. Less than 3,000 for a World Cup match is a disgrace.

Stokes bowled. He gets one that keeps low. Unfortunate, but them's the breaks. I have no words. 59/6 at the halfway stage.
Come on, Mo. England need something special. I can hear DownUnda chortling from here.

England are going to have to swing like a seventies disco to get anywhere near a competitive total from here. They have dug themselves a massive hole. They can't buy a boundary and struggling to rotate the strike. Afghanistan's spinners have a stranglehold on this one. 74/6 (13 ovs).

After their fabulous performance against the South Africans, this is certainly a disappointment. I hope somehow they manage to won against the Afg or else Eng will be in a lot of trouble.
NRR will be affected badly though

17-year-old Rashid has two wickets. Jordan goes in similar fashion to Vince, chipping one back to the bowler. 85/7 (14.3 ovs). Will they even last the 20 overs?
