The inept captaincy from Faf and Afridi in their last two matches shows the value of a good captain. Faf was far too complacent and defensive. He allowed England to rotate the strike every ball by having the fielders so deep. It wasn't until the match was all over that he actually brought his fielders up in the circle to cut off the singles.

Afridi was equally as a dire in the match against India, both in terms of promoting himself and Umar Akmal up the order ahead of Sarfraz Ahmed and Hafeez and also his bowling changes.

Sammy is valuable. He can slog on command and is a decent captain. And he is better than Holder and Carlos.

I would play another spinner, drop Ramdin, let Fletcher keep and swap Charles for Holder. Play Holder at number 4. Then you limit guys like Holder, Sammy, Andre and Carlos to 1 over maximum, and have Gayle, Bravo and your 3 spinners doing most of the work.

With this set-up you can also drop Holder or Carlos for a dedicated batsman, but I don't think we have anyone on the bench other than Lewis.
