9.4 Abbott to Ali, 1 run, plonked over the top to long-off - England win!
It's the second-highest T20 run-chase in history.

"It's just nice to contribute to a game of cricket," flat-bats Joe Root, the player-of-the-match.
"Be sensible, play smart cricket…and the guys were so calm under pressure.
"It's about staying cool and building partnerships.".

Three of the top 5 T20 run chases have now come against South Africa. West Indies chased down 236 last year, England 230 today and Australia 205 a fortnight ago.

I have to say although we chased the saffer's total, I have never seen such poor bowling, particularly from England!
When we batted, I thought the Saffers bowled a bit straighter but our lads weer merciless.
Sadly Toppers is not showing the correct character and looks a broken man. Jordan, a player I have backed constantly, has been far too erratic and unthinking....even when he batted with only 2 to win, do so in a sensible manner.
Not sure why Broad cannot be in this squad and even Anderson, who I think is still willing to play this format?
Management is not inclined to make too many changes, and I fully support that principle, but Toppers at least has to be supported so his confidence is not furher broken as he isa young man making his way at this level.
Given it is Afghanisatn next week, they may stay with the same team but I would have to drop Toppers and if it was possible for balance and if we had suitable replacements from the players in the squad, I would drop Jordan as well. However Afghanistan cannot be taken lightly.
We cannot hope to bat second each time.
Morgan also has to get the finger out and stop getting out in silly ways. Also I think his Captaincy was absolute crap today as he kept on changing the field which, in my view, further disrupts the bowler and any plans they may have had.

I sure was.
Conditions were clearly against the fast bowlers from both side but, to take nothing away from England's batsmen, the difference between the two teams was largely down to extras - 4 by England and a massive 26 by South Africa. 20 wides is totally unacceptable.
