It was great to see McCullum go out and thrash it around. He is so much fun to watch. He will be missed. A shame he couldn't get his fifty, but that was a high quality yorker from Faulker. After the first 10 overs, I thought New Zealand would clear 350 with ease, but Australia bowled well the rest of the way to restrict them to 307.
Watching Luke Rochi bat was a painful experience. I am really surprised he continues to keep wicket in ODIs ahead of BJ Watling. By contrast, I have been impressed with what I have seen of Mitch Santner to date.

Sean Marsh gets turned around from a good seaming delivery from Matt Henry and is caught at second slip for 5, giving Khawaja supporters more ammunition. Australia 18/1 after 3 overs.
Speaking of Khawaja supporters, I see that Michael Clarke came out and
publicly criticised Rod Marsh
for his omission from this team. No real surprises there as the tension between those two has seemingly been building for some time.

Smith and Williamson score just 18 runs between them. I don't think anyone would have predicted that before this match. Australia in some major trouble now as Warner departs. I am a little surprised he didn't review that decision. 39/3 (6.4 ov).

Replays showed that the ball would have indeed missed the stumps, but that one was on George Bailey. Warner asked him for his advice and Bailey seemed adamant that he was out. And Bailey goes now, too. Matt Henry is carving through this lineup. 40/4 (8 ov).
Edit: Maxwell out third ball and this is very reminiscent of New Zealand skittling Australia out for 150 here in the World Cup last year. What a catch from Williamson. He may not have contributed with the bat but he has pulled off a stunning catch here. Australia 40/5 (8.2 ov)

Australia may not even make it to 150 today. Mitch Marsh out for a duck, and Australia are 6 down inside 10 overs. 41/6. What a 10-minute spell for New Zealand. At least Allan Border can see the funny side of it.

Adam Milne is like lightning. First over into the attack and he is already pushing 95mph. James Faulkner is starting to play a few nice shots. Australia 67/6 and it looks like they will avoid the follow on. ;D
