Jason Holder is currently contracted to the West Indies Cricket Board as a player. If Mr. Holder is injured and cannot play during the contracted period, he will still have to be paid by the Board. Therefore, consider if he is granted permission to participate in the Pakistan Super Leauge and then be injured, the West Indies Cricket would be losing out on his service and would have to be paying him in the meantime.
Therefore, it's good business sense for the West Indies Board to seek to protect its investment in Mr. Holder as it sees fit.

that facts: west indian players are paid a pittance..reduced by WIPA/wicb collusion. there is no way such payments contracted players can make a living of any decency over a long cricket career.
and when player salaries are compared to wicb officials salaries ts like night and day. the players get less so that they can get more...
and the fact is: we cant compare players salaries to the salaries of wicb officials because we do not know what they are paid. I have never seen a pay scale yet of wicb salaries of their officias.....
so what do you think thy pay themselves then ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused::
the wicb has not made made effort to ensure that west indian players can take full advantage of the salaries going in the T20 competitions. all they have done is to cut away those who have done so despite their beet efforts at shutting them down..while enslaving a remainder to ensure they can field a side
that is what Jason Holder's side is all about. that is why he is captain..young, unsure of himself, his place not secure on ability, and so completely dependent on the wicb, so he cant make any noise or fight back and so face dismissal, excommunication and ostracism like Bravo Pollard and company.
but Jason is unhappy anyway and clearly in a mood to fight back. he can go to the T20's and make a decent living and is prevented from doing so by wicb nonsense, by their enslavement of him.
don't mind ketchim's nonsense in this issue. ketchim is totally anti west indian players and look for all manner of masking tape to hide wicb enslavement of west indian players..who are now all youthful and without any alternative social bases on which to fight back at wicb exploitation.
look out! Jase will give up the captaincy as soon as this contract is up. I will put good money on that. he will give up the captaincy and go into the T20 league. they probably all wont sign any dam wicb enslavement contracts but play just so..so that of they stand out in the game and are contracted they can move right along.
it does not pay to sign wicb contract. and if the wcb is displeased let them go all the way down and select club cricketers to represent the west indies

I don't think if the decision taken for this situation was fair. Or maybe i'm just supporting him because he is my favorite player.
