The problem, as it relates to the West Indies, is that simply hoping that day/night Test matches will cure all of their problems is wishful thinking. The problem runs far deeper.
The entire WICB needs overhauling and it starts with Cameron on down. The absence of 12-month contracts at the domestic level and the lack of a dedicated coaching department to educate coaches throughout the Caribbean shows a complete fundamental failure. Introducing day/night Test matches won't change that.
As everyone else, with the exception of the WICB itself, has acknowledged, West Indies cricket needs a complete makeover, from top to bottom. Anything else is just papering over the cracks at this point.

Nothing will save Windies Cricket until these imbeciles adopt the CARICOM's recommendations, the enquiry endorsed by the WICB jackasses like the Wilkins and Pattison reports both ignored equally, and the WICB cease to be a gravy train with a genuine administrative body emerging.
Given the diaspora, it seems apparent it will never happen. Territories have to go their own way in partnership with others.
What a bunch of incompetent asses.....

Cricket in the region has been in decline for years now, the young men involved in cricket are those who FIRST tried their hand at football or basketball ,but failed so now are cricket players by default ,and those who are in the team can't even do the basics HOW many times will the team drop balls at crucial points in a game, bowlers bowl line & length, batsmen realize to take their time at the wicket ,that said the board who run the team are a DISGRACE ,poor leadership ,poor judgement, poor selections, the list goes on & on ,it will take a decade for cricket in the region to come good again,BUT things must be put in place from NOW !

For several years, i have been saying there no unity in WI Cricket and it will never improve if there is no unity. Even a Blind man can see that. They keep changing the coach and players on a regular basis with the same heavy defeats. common sense does not tell them that's not the problem. It's very sad to see the state of WI cricket, and there are no signs of it improving anytime soon. The best thing is they should stop playing Test cricket and stop embarrassing the region.
