I do think that there is some potential for cricket in the US. Do you think that there would be enough fan interest to support a CPL/IPL-style T20 tournament of 30+ matches on a yearly basis?
I think it is much easier to sell fans on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as opposed to trying to attract crowds of 30K+ for 30+ matches each year. Getting fans to plunk down $50+ for one match is much easier than asking them to fork out that for 10+ matches.

Is this thread now seriorly comparing the attendances between baseball in the US and English cricket?
I'm not saying that cricket can't be introduced more in the USA, just like football (or soccer) is beginning to become popular, but what effect will that have on cricket around the world in regard to attendances? I wouldn't have thought any?

Would a team still think good about the team if nobody showed up? I don't think so

These are very good numbers, but soccer will always stay number one for them.

'Football' will always be the number 1 sport over here in the UK and while cricket is popular, well, some formats of it anyway, but as far as attendances go there will never be a comparison.
