England will be looking to exact some revenge for losing the Test series. I am still unsure as to why 4 ODI's were scheduled. All limited over series need to be odd numbers. Either make it 3 or 5. But I digress. England finally win a toss and decide to bat first.

Crickey, Joe Root out for a duck now and a less than ideal start has turned into a disaster. England 7/2 (2 ovs). Losing Root to a trundler like Anwar Ali is almost unthinkable. England have dug themselves a massive hole early.

Three down, Hales edges one and somehow Anwar Ali has two early wickets. 14/3 (3.1 ovs). He edged one off Irfan the previous over that didn't carry, but this one was snapped up by Younis Khan at the second attempt.

He was fantastic again today, Trini. He really anchored England's rearguard fight back. A shame he went before he could get a much deserved century. Morgan and Taylor have brought England back into the picture. Lets see what Buttler has to offer today. 250 is a par first innings score on this pitch.

And Buttler's poor run of scores continue as Taylor runs him out for 1. England wobbling now at 148/5. Even though England bat deep, I'd happily settle for 250 now.

It's all going wrong for England now. Taylor out for 60 and England collapsing at 157/6.
And now Babar Azam pulls a stunner of a catch to dismiss Moeen and 200 is looking a long way off now. Poor from England.

Woakes contributes 33 before being run out as England post a very modest 216. That feels very light on this wicket which didn't do a whole lot. A poor start, followed by a collapse at the end will make defending this total very hard - especially as England opted for all-rounders as opposed to specialist bowlers.
