Cricket is just not the most attractive sport in the region any longer because a lot of youngsters now will prefer to watch and play football than cricket and that is due to the fact that football is so global and the potential for getting scholarships to school is much more than cricket.

the wicb has not kept up incentives to attract youth to cricket in the competition for talent in the region between sporting activities. in fact the wicb offers no incentives at all. its as if young people are bound to play cricket, that playing cricket is its own attraction..while they sit back and pay themselves half a million per year..allocating peanuts for the players >

cricket wont work that way. it did once when there were no alternatives. it wont anymore

a truly good development. I would like to see west indian youth focus their talents anywhere but on cricket. let Skameron and dem get their whites on, and go play to earn money to pay themselves
