Once again the bowlers doing an excellent job for the West Indies and the batsmen putting the team in trouble! West Indies needs some real batsmen fast because this batting failure is so frequent.

A rather alarming stat courtesy of the Cricinfo guys:
Samuels has now failed to score more than 15 runs in his last 12 Test innings against Sri Lanka. His 16 innings against them have produced just 151 runs at an average of 10.06. Only two other batsmen have averaged lower against an opposition from 15 or more innings batting in the top-order (No. 1 to No. 7). Ken Rutherford averaged 6.78 from 15 innings against West Indies and Charlie Turner averaged 9.85 against England from 15 innings.

The last ball of the morning session and Brathwaite strikes with his second wicket of the innings. Sri Lanka 165/6, a lead of 202. Over the last 10 years, only 2 teams (in 8 innings) have scored 200+ in the fourth innings here.

Everything that needs to be said about this pitch can be encapsulated by the fact that Kraigg Brathwaite, who prior to today, had a total of 4 wickets in 117+ professional innings at a strike rate of 175, has taken 6/29. Yes, a 6 wicket haul at a strike rate of 11.5.
West Indies require 244 to win. An excellent effort in both innings from the bowlers. They desperately need the batsman to pick them up, but based on this wicket, this will be a really, really difficult chase. They will do well to get to 170, to be honest. The pitch is already turning like a day 5 wicket.

20 - 1 after 9 overs
8.6
Prasad to Brathwaite, loud, loud appeal, given out this time and Brathwaite decides not to review it, was pretty plumb!
The ball came in towards the off stump, defended but missed the line of the ball and it hit his bent back leg right in front of off
KC Brathwaite lbw b Prasad 3
