Who is Kyle Hope? Is this supposed to be Shai Hope?
I would play this team and batting order:
Kraigg Brathwaite
Devendra Bishoo
Darren Bravo
Shai Hope
Marlon Samuels
Jermaine Blackwood
Shane Dowrich
Jason Holder
Carlos Brathwaite
Jerome Taylor
Shannon Gabriel
Yeah, Bishoo is my opener. I don't trust anyone else.
We know Blackwood can bat the old ball. We know Dowrich can bat, has some brains and looks like a shrimp. We know Bravo and Samuels can occasionally bat too, but might also be borderline retarded. We know Kraigg has the only set of cricketing brains in the Caribbean outside Chanderpaul. We know Holder can bat and we know that Chubby Carlos, for some strange reason, has a knack for matchwinning bowling and batting performances at the domestic level.
We don't know if Hope can bat yet; this is a make or break series for him. We know Ramdin can't bat and we're sitting on the fence on Chandrika, who is supposed to be a mighty crease occupier but played like a dunce in all the international opportunities he was given.
I also think Roach is washed up. I have never seen Warrican but everyone talks highly of him. Would have liked to see Permaul and Bishoo together.
All in all, I think this is as good a team you can assemble based on the players we have.

what a team. I keep shaking my head over the west indies. maybe I am in a dream or something..a nightmare.
we were just world champions, producing great players year after year. how in the hell did this happen ::confused::. this cannot possibly be real. let me pinch my rarse and wake myself up ::confused::
this is a joke this is......it must be.
but it does appear that west indies are done, a totally spent force in the game of cricket, a state or stage we have sunk to we will not recover from, especially given the cricket administration we have evolved which is the killer of the host it has infected..its bloodsucking job almost complete. I don't see where west indies go from from this point as a team on the field internationally. this side is no good at all and will be beaten out of the water by Lanka and Oz.
there is no upside to this selection. there is no batting of note..no bowling of note. and there are no better potentials on the sidelines.
west indies are exhausted, done finished. the home fan base is gone, the general interest is dead, few youth look to cricket anymore.
there is no more supra-regional nationalist orientation relative to cricket. and a most nasty, horrible, atrocious bureaucracy has grown up around the game, which uses it as a means to their own wealth producing entity, that affords them a fine lifestyle at the expense of the players.
this isnt going to last another 20 years. by then west indies cricket as an international factor will be done. and as of now, this minute or ever further back my connection to the game has been broken. my outlook and the game of cricket as a whole is no longer in sync. with regard to west indies cricket the gulf is even wider now.
a shocking fact in this recent part is the role played by Clive Lloyd in the process. what shockingly awful corroboration his recent part in the mess has been, relative to the contempt we had for him in Trinidad back in the day. we were right about him great batsman as was or not. given his age and the stage of west indian life into which he was born Lloyd should have been of a different ideological perspective, more like Worrell. but he is not..the opposite actually.
what is it with west indian society ::confused::
it is incredibly disastrous for the west indies have produced people like Dave Whycliffe Skameron, Wavell Hinds, the wicb administration, Clive Lloyd, Hillary Beckles and all the west indians I see everywhere who are no better than those I have listed. the west indies today is no better off than 40-50 years ago. and now we have killed our flagship the west indies cricket team. at least that would endure I believed. but even that too has been worn down by unresponsive and decrepit old west indian society.
oh well!

Gayle will not be picked anymore...no Pollard, no Brabits. no more Shive...Sarwan long gone
this is likely Ramdin's last series..that is if he hangs on for this one. I would retire were I Ramdin. surely he must have made enough money to set him for life already. and he has seen the whole world...a whole lot of it anyway, by cricket.
and as for the captaincy Ramdin has lost nothing. as far as I see the cricket captaincy globally has been turned into the opposite of what it was. the captain was the main man in the mix. he is just a cipher now, usurped by the cricket bureaus of every cricket nation.
all Ramdin was called upon for was to do some leadership on the field. he had no say in anything else and his lack of interest seemed to show.
so Jase is the captain now..big deal. what does he win or get into as captain ::confused::
the captaincy on the field might as well be run from skameron's office, or the head coach's office, so little there is to do in the job
Ramdin has been around for a good 10 years now. that's a good ride. I would dust my pants and walk away into life in Trinidad. that must hold some plums for Dinesh. he can live away in happiness with wife and family at home, send his children to school and be cool and enjoy. there is no point in paying attention to Skam and Lloyd, as west indies cricket withers away to nutten at all, leaving skam and them to find a new host to infect as the parasites they are
