not to play fast bolwing. First up, New Zealand number 11 Ewen Chatfield, who is probably best remembered for getting hit in the temple by a Peter Lever bouncer in 1975, rendering him unconscious and swallowing his tongue.

Finally, I am sure everyone remembers Andy Lloyd on Test debut facing Malcolm Marshall. Much like Cairns, Lloyd misjudged the bounce, took his eyes of the ball and turned into it, getting struck on the right temple that left him with blurred vision and unable to play cricket for the rest of the year.
