Sometimes records are just records. Records don't win games, players do!

Binny,RG Sharma,Ojha,Mishra,Ashwin.
For once Indian Tail has wagged..Powerfully as well. Ishant then wreaked havoc with a couple of wickets.
Hopefully he gets his 200th Test wicket tom.

I thought the umpires were a little slow in diffusing the situation between Ishant Sharma and Dhammika Prasad. They let the situation escalate until things almost boiled out of control.
As a result, three Sri Lanka players (Prasad, Chandimal and Thirimanne) and Ishant have been charged for indiscipline. Ishant has already had two strikes for breaching ICC code of conduct and so it is possible this third altercation could lead to a suspension.

Sri Lanka lost two wickets in the morning session. The key man, Angelo Mathews remains at the crease - although he was caught off a no ball. Mathews numbers in the fourth innings of a Test match are remarkable - an average of 79.33 with four 50s and 7 not outs in 13 innings. Despite Mathews' continued fourth innings heroics, with a minimum of 69 overs remaining, Sri Lanka are still a very long way from batting out a draw.

Mathews is known to play well with lower order batsmen, India should not become complacent till he is back in hut.Its now the turn of the spinners to do some serious damage and finish off Mathews and perera at least by Tea,then the last session,we can bounce and spin them out.

The pitch hasn't offered much for the spinners so far today. If India are to win this match, I think the seamers may have to do the bulk of the damage. Kusal Perera has looked to be very aggressive since coming to the crease, especially against the spinners.

I was actively reading cricinfo's commentary because i am away now on Tab and can't watch the match.
This one just seemed perfect.
"At times like these, you need a bowler of Wasim and waqar's caliber to dismantle the batsmen with a flurry of yorkers."
Maybe the ball change now can help Indian bowlers.Earlier in 1st innings a ball change immediately got the wicket of perera, hope its a repeat.

Congrats bala. India's first away series victory since 2011 and Kohli's first as captain. The new ball did the trick and as is almost always the case, one wicket leads to a second and then a third. Rather poor batting at the end from Sri Lanka's tail, swinging for the fences and giving their wickets away. Still, India won't care about that.

Most teams struggle for a few years after going through a transitional stage once the senior members of their side retire.
