Chris Broad, Stuart's father and ex-England batsman :
"Stuart chatted to me a couple of days prior to this Test and I was a bit too concerned he was focused on getting one wicket for his 300.
I was a bit worried he would be searching for one if it didn't come early, but to get that in the first over was clearly a huge release."

Congrats, Broady. Although he has often bowled in the shadow of Jimmy Anderson, Broad's achievements should in no way be overlooked.
No bowler has taken more wickets over the last two years. His strike rate of 46.3 over this period is third to only Johnson, Steyn and Hazlewood among bowlers to have taken a minimum of 30 wickets and no bowler has taken more 5 wicket hauls.

8-15 Only two men have taken cheaper eight-wicket hauls in Tests: George Lohmann, who took 8-7 v South Africa in 1896 and Johnny Briggs, who took 8-11 in 1889.Now this figure will be like a medal in his career.
On the team's performance.Eng is surely playing better at home. They took on NZ and now Aus efficiently. After their WC debacle, they are on a rise when they play at home, only.
