I saw that coming from the first 10 balls he faced. He looked in really good form and was very aggressive. Completely different to the last Test where he looked all out of sorts. There is still work to be done tomorrow but Pakistan are now unlikely favourites to win.

Pakistan will want to score as many runs before the new ball is taken tomorrow. Surprisingly, the pitch has played quite true. Sri Lanka's spinners haven't been able to make the same use of the spinning wicket that Pakistan did in the first innings. Pakistan's previous highest 4th innings score in a win was 315 and their highest ever 4th innings total is 343. Could be two new records set tomorrow.

150 up for Younis Khan. Simply magnificent. Pakistan within 43 runs of victory with 7 wickets still in hand. They are going to saunter home.

Tea and cakes are on bala ;D

What an improbable victory for Pakistan. In the end they cruised to a 7 wicket victory, posting their highest ever 4th innings total and highest ever successful run chase. Shan Masood and Younis Khan came together with Pakistan in all kinds of trouble at 13/2. Chances of victory looked highly unlikely and yet they have managed to coast to a memorable win.
Younis Khan's 171 not out is the highest ever score by a Pakistani batsman in the 4th innings of a Test match. Overall, it is the 15th highest score in the 4th innings in Test match history. In the last 20 years, only Astle, Sangakkara, Atherton and Butcher have posted a higher score in the 4th innings of a Test match.
Pakistan moves up to the third in the Test rankings.
