West Indies captain Denesh Ramdin chided senior batsman Marlon Samuels for getting "sucked in" to his dismissal at a pivotal moment of the Dominica Test, after a stand with the debutant Shane Dowrich had given the hosts a chance of setting a tricky target for Australia.

How so ?
He was sledging Watto on the mid on ring encroachment on to the Pitch.
That same "illegal field position " had Dowrich caught.
It was Dowrich whom was "sucked in"/ "set up "

what Ramdin critiquing others for ::confused::
Ramdin is not scoring. he supposed to score, must score if his team is to put up respectable totals....especially now with that inexperienced side he leads.
Ramdin is the second or third most experienced man on the side and its captain. there is no other on that side than Ramdin more responsible for going out there with grit and determination to lead from the front
Ramdin better shut his mouth and do his job as he shud do it, before he looses the support he needs to keep his job.

Ramdin should be critical of himself for not doing jack in both innings with the bat. Samuels gave his wicket away but at lest he managed to make 74. Ramdin can't bat the save his life and so he should keep quiet where batting matters are concerned.

Ramdin averages a paltry 22 as skipper and overall a modest 26. Well, if the selectors feel Dowrich is good enough to make the team as a specialist batsman and debut at 4 then he certainly has more to recommend him as a batsman.
For the Zimbabwe series return Dowrich to his favored number 6, and drop Ramdin whose numbers are poor. This would allow us to get that vital 5th bowler our attack needs.

There is no denying that Ramdin's numbers (22.80) in his first 42 Test matches were poor. This led to his being dropped. However, since his return to the team in May 2012, he has averaged 33.00. Better, no doubt, though still not great when compared to other wicket-keepers over this period. Historically, he has never fared well against Australia, averaging 19.72.
I do agree with your point about the team being unbalanced. How good is Dowrich behind the stumps?
