Paint - opening is a tough job (is Gavaskar the only opener to average in the 50s?). Paint needs more time, but his run of low scores is worrying.
Hope - Should have debuted lower down the order. We don't know if he can bat yet.
Bravo - can't bat. Too scared. Needs to counterattack and hire a batting coach.
Samuels - a waste of time
Chanderpaul - I've never seen Shiv fail so consistently.
Ramdin - I'd drop him and find someone else.
Blackwood - this guy is hilarious. We know he can bat patiently and slowly. Today he counter-attacked like a madman. He's like a 2inch Viv Richards, hitting everything hard and in all directions. His teammates robbed him of a quick century. He now seems to have shots all around the wicket. His only weakness is his fondness for going airborne. Will the opposition figure him out? His scoring shots are rarely played along the ground. It's been years since I've seen a West Indian batsman play a test innings like this.
Holder - can he bat? Can he bowl? We're still not sure.
Permaul - like Bishoo, Permaul can bat. However he got carried away and over-confident and threw his wicket away. Everyone with cricket-sense knew Permaul should have played an anchor role, blocking cautiously so that Blackwood could make more runs.
Taylor - a total idiot. Instead of playing safely and letting Blackwood do the work, Taylor started slogging.
Gabriel - Looks like a sleepy version of Frankenstein's monster.

18 WICKETS FELL ON DAY 2
* What does that tell you ?
* It looks like the wicket is a minefield.
* England 39/5---a lead of 107
* If England can add 50 more runs---WI will have huge problems chasing 150+ for victory.

I consider this team wicb..no longer west indies. its a silly team over which no one appears to have control.
Taylor always bats like an idiot. 20 more runs would have mean a whole lot to west indies today. if Blackwood made a ton it would prolly have meant close to 257. all Taylor had to do was hold on
who can tell Taylor he is playing like an arse with the bat and hurting the team..if that is not obvious to him
Bravo and Samules are a dysfunctional middle order. I wud have loved to see Hope at #3, Bravo at #4..meaning the pick comes to do Samules and Shive at #5......
oh man the wicb side is hard to pick.. I don't care about it. I know what I would do...would have done a while now. but from a wicb perspective this is an impossible side

Massive cracks in the pitch.
Rev is correct. Chasing even 150 will be a challenge.
His approach was worse than Benn's approach in the other test. Both showed contempt for the team and the set batsman.

Rev your photo is cropped. It is missing the funny fella at the bottom, praying to the heavens in ecstasy. But yes, either the pitch will get worse and batting will be difficult, or it will turn into a batting paradise.

england is the better side in all respects....they will beat this wicb side in any conditions most of the time
the last time west indies face conditions like this was against england 1968 at Sabina..second innings to bat on a deadly wicket after england got the best of it first innings of the match....and west indies collapsed .
but we had Sobers then and the rest is history :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[
