"You ask how keen I am to score runs. It's a pretty silly question. I'm desperate at the top of the order to set the tone well.
It's always important."
England captain Alastair Cook doesn't give a silly answer

West Indies need to keep demoralising and destroying Trott and Cook. We need to push them off the England team and into retirement.

England now find themselves boxed in, forced to chase the game, knowing that their board chairman will be none too happy if they were to win only 1-0. Last week they came so close – two whole sessions to take the last five wickets – to winning an opening Test of an away series for the first time in a decade, other than in Bangladesh. No wonder their mood here is more sombre, and that of West Indies invigorated.

England badly under rated west indies and now seems to be nervous about the possibility of losing the series

From that
article
in The Telegraph, Seyld Berry suggests Moeen could bat 8. That would be one deep batting lineup with 6-9 consisting of Stokes, Buttler, Moeen, and Jordan.

When you say England, do you mean Colin Graves and some in the media or do you mean the players themselves? I don't recall any players coming out and saying that they thought this would be an easy series. In fact, Ian Bell was quite public in his assessment that he thought this would be a tough series.
