Poor start by the West Indies top order today. They didn't look like they wanted to bat for long and just gave away their wickets. Ramdin and Samuels have managed to make a mini-recovery and I just hope they can continue tomorrow to get the team close to 400 runs.

No credit to any of the English bowlers? Jimmy's delivery to get Brathwaite was unplayable. Just top drawer swing bowling. This is not an easy wicket to bat on and England made the most of the humid, overcast conditions. The ball was still swinging and moving even after 40 overs and Moeen got the ball to spin. Sure, Bravo played a nothing shot and got himself out and Shiv didn't cover himself in glory but I thought England, with the exception of Moeen, bowled very well. Jimmy and Jordan were superb throughout and Stokes' first spell might have been the best spell of the day.

I thought Moeen struggled mightily today and his time off due to his injury showed. He was unable to find any rhythm and his line and length suffered.

Marlon don't talk about Marlon unless Marlon talking about Marlon in the Third Person:
www.espncricinfo.com/west-indies-v-engla...nt/story/865039.html
"Samuels was involved in a particularly feisty exchange of views with Ben Stokes - who bowled in excess of 91mph with the old ball - in an absorbing passage of play.
"Ben Stokes is basically battling himself because he is just coming into cricket and I have been around for a while," Samuels said. "I keep telling him that, but tomorrow I probably have to tell him something different because he's not listening. He keeps talking to me, and when you keep talking to me then it keeps motivating me to keep batting. Hats off to England: they were very disciplined. But if Marlon Samuels is 150 and Ben Stokes is with the ball in his hand tomorrow, it will be very interesting."
