There seems to be a trend for settled batsmen to do well, while batsmen coming in late struggle to get going. It's much better when the finishers get in early, though not necessarily as early as Gayle and Samuels did.

England were not convincing for me because any top team in form would have scored in excess of 350 runs given the position England were in. They had wickets in hand and yet still they were restricted for little over 300 runs. England still have work to do if they want to make it out of the group stages.
