* That's why I said Shiv was not properly prepared for the SA tour.

* He went from facing lollypoppers at Daytona beach to facing Steyn, Philander, Morkel and company in South Africa.

* He didn't adjust until his final innings in SA.

* But yes! Shiv will be playing all kinds of cricket for years to come----bumper ball, flannel ball, all kinds of balls----once its cricket Shiv will play. ;D

That is for sure. I met him in Guyana in early October during a 4 day game and he was complaining that his team did not want him to go into the field. The guy just loves playing cricket and he is not lazy either.

He had a slight hamstring problem and still wanted to go out and field.

* Shiv is the consummate BALLOIL! The man loves his cricket

* I am sure you found Shiv to be humble and totally unpretentious.

* It's sheer envy and jealousy from some so-called West Indian fans who want Shiv to retire.

* I'll wager that anytime Shiv walks to the wicket his detractors hope and pray he doesn't score any runs.

* What a miserable and unhappy bunch of people.

* I expect Shiv to do well in his next two series against England and Australia in the Caribbean.

That is for sure, the most humble successful person I ever met. He is unpretentious as well. The man is definitely the ultimate balloil and I am sure he will get to teh 12K and cause a lot of the haters a lot of agita.

I kept closing my eyes and then rubbing and opening them again and sat transfixed as I watch that unbelievable partnership between John Campbell and Shai Hope. What a magnificent performance by these two! It just goes to show that patience, determination and effort can go a long way to improve the performances of the West Indies team.
