I agree with that wholeheartedly .......Watching T/20, the players who honed their skill at Test cricket are the ones who play great shots in T/20 ... as opposed to the slog, slog, slam sans technique of the youngsters !!!

True and then there's David Warner who started out as a T/20 player ... and is now an explosive and effective opening batsman in Test Cricket ...

That is correct and he, Warner, has some Test record.
Would you say Australians play more 4 day first class cricket than West Indians?
In my view it is down to the player although the playing environment, WICB, is important and we know how messed up they are.

Don't know too much about the cricket system in AUS, except that Club cricket which is grass root cricket is very strong as it should be and is a perfect stepping stone to Under 12's, 16's and 19's..... then Sheffield Shield ... and on to higher levels
