* Sangakkara has indicated that he would retire from onedayers after the world cup.
* I won't be surprised if he also retires from tests
203 in his final test would be a great way to go out.
* In the meantime Shiv is poking and chooking and blocking his way to 12K----he is deathly afraid of losing his wicket----and that's why he is losing his wicket.

Good achievement!
Does anyone know what his home and away record is in Asia against all opposition and against Asian teams?
Congratulations nonetheless!
One of the best batsmen ever!

SANGAKKARA VS SUBCONTINENT TEAMS(Bangladesh/Pakistan/India)
* Sangakkara has averaged 77.39 in 51 tests against Bangladesh, India and Pakistan with 22 100s and 20 50s.
SANGAKKARA VS NON SUBCONTINENT TEAMS(Australia, South Africa, England New Zealand and WI)
* Sangakkara has averaged 45.91 in 74 tests against Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and WI with 14 100s and 30 50s
CONCLUSION:
* Sangakkara is not in the same league as the 2 elite greats of his era, Lara and Tendulkar, but NUMBERS DON'T LIE, Sangakkara has put up great numbers overall.
* Sangakkara is an ordinary great; Lara and Tendulkar were elite or extraordinary greats.
