Ha ha ha!
There are more Guyanese everywhere else but in Guyana!
That aside, I see no reason why an International sportsman cannot have clearance within hours!
Also when I have, accidentally, been in transit, I do not recall having to have had a visa even if the wait was a few hours! You are in a first class lounge anyway aren't you?
Bizarre and the WICB need to ensure reciprocal arrangements are made through all the Cricket Boards to ensure these sorts of matters are expidited!
This is not the first time?

There is a case for an international sportsman to jump the queue for a temporary visa .... and then there isn't ..... BUT we've been through this before and .......in the case of Fudaddin ?

Why should international sports persons jump the queue? And for some countries like Guyana "international" sports persons have been known to disappear having been admitted to the USA (and Canada) for tournaments.
The UK Border Control changed the rules. I think if you have to come out and recheck your bags then you have to get a transit visa. Since Deo has a US "green card" in his back pocket the WICB should have booked passage through the USA but of course we are talking about the WICB where logic does not apply.
There is action that the WICB can take. These days there is a good chance that a player or two will get injured. The WICB selectors should come up with a list of replacements and ensure that those players have the necessary visas. But once again we are talking about the WICB!!

I should add that even government officials from countries have been denied visas
