Sir Lanka looked hopeless and out of their depth against India in the recent ODI series. They have looked much better against England though I think a large part of that is that England aren't that good, especially with Broad and Anderson.

At the moment, I get the sense if Moeen does not fire, no one else would!
Terrible performance.

Right now the only two batsman that are in form are Moeen and Ravi. Everyone else is struggling in the middle. This is a worrying concern. Can England really afford to play Cook, Bell and Root all in the same team?
I was curious as to way Ravi didn't bowl more in this 2nd ODI, the slow wicket seemed like it would have suited Ravi. Angelo Mathews made good use of the wicket with a wide array of varied speeds and deliveries.

dillly,
Yes, I too was surprised Ravi did not bowl more even with the Lankans only taking 34 overs to pverhaul our target, especially with the pitch as it was!
This team seems far too experimental for me. Do not really rate Gurney, Woakes and Stokes but perhaps they will do better on the faster antipodean pitches but I am concerned not just about the lack of success but the manner in which we are losing! No fight, gutless.
Five to go so lets see what transpires!
Jordan should come in for tomorrow's game.

I fully agree on Gurney and Woakes. They are simply not good enough. Stokes has potential but his bowling has been shocking as of late and his bowling much better.
If Jordan does play, what is the over/under on how many wides he bowls?

Dilly,
Stokes seems to have an attitude problem and he was been speeding downhill since his Ashes ton, injuring himself by punching something etc!
I would find a way of playing Taylor so, as much as I am hesitant, I will drop Rooty.
My playing 11 for tomorrow, given Cooky has to play, is as follows. My 15 for the WC would also be
1. Hales
2. Moeen
3. Cook
4. Bell
5. Taylor
6. Ravi
7. Jos
8. Jordan
9. Tredwell
10. Finn
11. Anderson
12. Morgan
13. Root
14. Broad
15. Stokes

I'd like to see what Taylor has to offer, also. It would be nice to get him and Hales in the lineup on Wednesday.
Do you think Bell and Morgan are in any real danger of being dropped by the selectors?
