Zimbabwe won the toss, chose to bat and promptly lost two quick wickets. 40/2 (16 ovs). Shakib Al Hasan picks up a wicket in his first game back since his ban was reduced.

That didn't take long. Zimbabwe skittled out for 240. Shakib was the pick of the bowlers, taking six wickets in his comeback Test. He now has a five-for against every team he's played against. The pitch is definitely offering a lot to the spinners even on day 1.

Bangladesh are progressing slowly at 92/2 (40 ov). It's been 18 months since their last Test victory but they have put themselves in a good position as they trail by 148 runs with 8 wickets remaining.

Bangladesh were all out for 254, a lead of 14. They really didn't help themselves with three run-outs in their innings. Panyangara picked up a 5-wicket haul. Zimbabwe are 32/2 (15 ov) in reply.
