* If over the past 2 decades the West Indies had one more batsman like Chanderpaul, a batsman who values his wicket and is hell-bent not to give his wicket away cheaply, the WI team would have been more successful.

People can be very ungrateful and seem to have short memory. Chanderpaul has stood out for the West Indies in numerous matches and has saved them from further embarrassment by adding stability to an often feeble batting lineup. Chnderpaul has also been a slow scorer so the recent comments about his batting style may be the effect of t20 on some people's idea of batting even in test matches.
