Faf du Plessis hit his third century of the series, and of his ODI career 

                                       

He scored his third century of the triangular series and of his career

and shared in a 103-stand for the fifth wicket with JP Duminy  (51) 


to provide South Africa with the middle-order muscle they lacked in their defeat to Australia.

That was a great match between South Africa and Zimbabwe for a place in the finals. South African batsmen du Plessis does it again for his side. A 126 in the previous, and a 121 today shows that he is in an impressive form. Resistance from Zimbabwe came in the form of a 79 by Taylor, but at the end it was not enough to secure their position in the finals.

Man of the match was awarded to Francois du Plessis

We can now look forward to a great final between South Africa and Australia. My bet is South Africa.

But the big picture is the WC : Proteas looking like serious Contenders !

There was no doubting once they made a 271,with Faf propelling them to it.Zimbabs were never in the reckoning to chase it down.I would say,Zims though made a good impact in this series..
