KARMA STRIKES---THE AMAZON WARRIORS DESERVED TO LOSE---CONGRATS TO THE TRIDENTS
* Last year the amazon warriors refused to draft Shiv---St Lucia drafted him instead--but then he couldn't play because of the Derbyshire contract.
* This year the warriors refused to protect Sarwan---he went off to Leicestershire.
* SO SCREW THE WARRIORS---Karma b1tch slapped them---CONGRATS TRIDENTS.

waaaaaaahahahahahaha!!!
Rev, come one now. Who would you drop for Shiv in the Warriors team? Sarwan's performance is not even 25% of his talent.

Well I am more disappointed with the views of my fellow posters as insularity is alive and well.
None of these teams should have their national names as they are franchises but yet the whole mud slinging would continue.
This issue is more to do with Umpiring as if you have to be insular 50% of the Franchises skippers are Trinidadians.
If the Umpires allow Robin Singh and Pollard to have their protests upheld then the umpires are at fault.
Firstly, it seems to me Warriors had the D/L sheet so they knew where they have to be at each point of the game and at 15.5 overs they were not so they have lost the game, fair and simple.
Secondly the referee's game end time is important, as at 15.5 overs they had, reportedly, exceeded this time which suggest a slow over rate so the fielding side has to be penalised for not completing their quota of overs.
Thirdly this is a final and unless tournament rules prevent, having a reserve day is sensible but this has logistical problems.
Fourthly, it was possible for the game to come to a natural conclusion as post rain conditions and artificial lighting were both acceptable. However the real issue could have been with TV rights and scheduling which is a travesty.
Karma? For his many achievements, no one will touch Sars with a barge pole these days as he has done nothing to convince otherwise. So celebrate his contributions of old and leave it like that.
Shiv really should be sitting this format out as well as he just looks very awkward in this format. However I support his return to the ODI team but having just turned 40 we need to be realistic and be objective.
Warriors should be proud of reaching the finals twice and in my view getting over 11 rpo in the last 4 would have been an ask but achievable, given the way Warriors have played all season. (Have not seen this tournament but have been through cards over the last 2 days or so)
It would be interesting to see how this debacle unfolds and had I been Tridents' Captain I would not have been smiling so much....

Given the sequence of events ... AW seem to have a case to contest what happened in the Final....
Whosoever was in the Final would've .... whether it be any of the other teams had they reached the finals !!! :-[

Warriors position is that even IF there is NO resolution and Prizes are awarded :
CPL must plug this obvious "hole " created by the silly bajan Umpires :-[

Chin,
Is this really an objective view or one of an agent provacateur?
No sides taken, but the sequence of events supports AW's case, does it not?
For me particularly
1. Bim exceeding the referee's end time at the 15.5 overs mark.
2. The length of time the umpires took, during which, conflicting advice were given.
3. The quality of umpires which were raise at the semi finals stage.
4. Consulting the technical committee during a game?
I neither saw on TV nor attended this tournament live this year but I feel the tournament should have and could have come to a natural end. warriors would have had an uphill task with 11+ required in the 4.1 overs remaining but that is quite irrelevant as they seemed to have been unfairly denied teh opportunity.
I do not however subscribe to all the charges of cheating by players and Captains. I do not see where Pollard acted inappropriately in the finals. He stood by his team and it was the Officials to put him right had that been necessary.
In the final analysis the Officials seemed to have got this terribly wrong and it does not reflect well on the CPL.
