India is being battered by the English bowlers in English conditions. I am happy to see India under this much pressure. Wonder if they will have any changes in captaincy after this series. Surely someone will have to take responsibility for this embarrassing performance.

I personally think the chances of Dhoni stepping down before the World Cup as being very slim. England should be praised for their efforts after going one down in the series. They outplayed India in every facet of the game at Southampton, Old Trafford and the Oval. It is a shame that England will not be playing any Tests until April of next year as they just found themselves a nice rhythm.

Oh wow - that's a complete humiliation. I expected Poms to win 2-1 ish or something, but no way in hell I expected this sort of humiliating defeat from India. Gambhir's runout clearly showed how much they lacked intent.
Due credit to poms though, top quality bowling and solid batting. Congrats to Root for another ton and Jimmeh's been top drawer this series. So close to becoming the best English bowler of all time.

I can't say enough good things about Joe Root this summer. He has been pure class. The baby faced assassin ended the series as the leading run scorer with 518 runs. His Test average this year is a staggering 97.12 with 777 runs scored against Sri Lanka and India.

For some reason we had the wood over india after Lords.
India looked like we did in Australia not so long ago. Rabbits in headlights....
My view is Ashwin should have played from the off. I do not rate Jadeja as a Test Cricketer although he has some abilities with the bat his bowling is more T20 and possibly ODIs. Although Dhawan did not make any big score, he shaped up better and should ahve had the full tour to have the experience and learn as Gambhir has always failed when he plays here.
Shame they could not have better opening partnership as it put pressure on the middle order time and time again with Dhoni coming in at less than 50-4 on a few occassions....
Unless injured, Umesh Yadav should have been in the squad and played and Shami should have been persevered with on his first tour to England after a very promising start to his career.
If Yadav is injured he has to be monitored very closely.

A meek surrender by the Indian team, never even in the game.Once they folded up for a 148,i never doubted an innings defeat and the second innings only made it worse, the third biggest defeat in history of indian cricket. This is much more humiliating than the one in 2011.

Horrible performance by our team. I bet they were eager to go fishing on the third day. They knew that they are done for once their first innings folded at measly 148.

Wow, that was a really embarrassing defeat for the Indians. Its a pity that the whole team tumbled to the supreme bowling by the English. Both times only Dhoni seemed to put up a fight, a mild fight the second time though. I think they should have all sat in the locker room, and just let Dhoni bat, it would have been a better performance, and less of an embarrassment.
