England is a pathetic sporting nation ,'
They import all their sporting heroes . Poetic justice that they were humiliated in the world cup and the Sri Lanka cricket team. Soon they will scour the earth for players for their team and individual sports,
They will be cheering for Andy Murray in Wimbledon but Murray is Scottish , a country that wants nothing to do with England and who is voting soon in a referendum to separate

Your view but I find that far too sweeping a statement. You would not be playing cricket had it not been for us so let us try and get a balance.
They import all their sporting heroes . Poetic justice that they were humiliated in the World Cup.....
We were crap and deserved to get ousted that is all. I am not sure how divine that is and once again we would not be having world cups as we also invented this game. That said we were pathetic.
and the Sri Lanka cricket team.
I am upset we lost but on balance the Lankans deserved it for the way the played. Appreciate good cricket and a good game. The hate just makes you sad.

I, like you, disagree with having certain people playing for us and my criteria is you must go through the sporting and education systems to have a feeling of Englishness and Britishness. You know I have laboured this point but we have people choosing to play for us like Jordan, Small, DeFreitas etc. some of these people do have direct ancestors like Nash for you. Where is he now? Is he coaching in Jamaica?

You have Trinidad and Tobago, don't you and Dwight Yorke was a Tobagonian but all in the region would recognise his success. Scotland, England and Scotland are one land mass and have a union called the United Kingdom which also include wales and Northern Ireland. We have had a Scottish cricket captain, Mike Denness .
So we do cheer for Murray as you may for any West Indian on the international stage so it is not as strange as you purport.

Excellent win for Lankans! Well deserved. Both matches have been terrifically exciting this series, so a very fine series. Gotta love test cricket.
Great resistance from Moeen obviously, but sadly in vain.
Also Mail, who are you quoting? And watch the formating, it's hard to decipher whatever that is :-\
