im really anxious to see a top class windies test team. we need young, genuine pacers to come thru. which of the young batsmen from this year's 4 day reg tournament can we select in the test team now? we must not go back to washout former players like sarwan. gayle must be given his 100th test party and retire from test cricket immediately after. tiger must be allowed to play test, once he remains fit and scoring runs, till he's 45.

To be honest,i think this is a big expectation out of this team.I am not being partial on them, but sadly they can never be a team of the 80's.They have got all the talents and all the power and everything, but something seems to be a missing element here. They are unable to use their strengths that is making them lacking in one department or the other. For instance, only now did i know Dwayne smith can even play innings like he is doing now.Look at Badree..he has been an exceptional talent, but has been discarded..I know not of what is happening with them..

If we talking about tests then Dwayne Smith has some serious weaknesses.  I don't know when last he played a first class game.

The WI have quite a few of decent test spinners and Badree would find it difficult to get into the test side - as far as I know he does not represent TT in first class games.

Well,if he does have weakness as you say,he might be given a chance before ascertaining that he indeed has a weakness.Oh i forgot Shillingford..i thought badree could be a good partner for narine..sry.!!

The fact is Smith is no International player although he has been having an exceptional IPL. Tried, tested and confirmed failure and should not play Internationals again.

Badree is good in the T20 and ODI version and has been playing for the Windies in T20s up to April 2014.

I would place Pollard WAAAAAAAAAAY ahead of Smith at the moment in tests. IPL/domestic T20 performances are extremely deceptive, they don't even translate well into International T20s, let alone tests.

There are plenty of spinners ahead of Badree too I guess. He should stick to limited overs as a specialist.

Apart from having a team like Lloyd had, the WICB has to rationalise its structure and embed its governance as recommended by the Wilkins report.

This nepotism and gravy train hanger ons have to stop in favour of doing whatever is for the common good.

You also have to be in your early teens and then you may see this happen just before you die in your 90s.

I would like to see such a team as well.

No,the funny part is why does smith do well in IPl alone. He probably wasn't given the proper batting order in the team.We can't be confirming him as a failure, let him play some domestic matches and then be given a chance once again.
