New Delhi: Describing an attempt by the Indian, Australian and English Boards to “hijack the ICC” as a proof of its governance reaching an “absolute nadir”, former president of the world body Ehsan Mani on Friday claimed he could make a case that the affluent BCCI doesn’t need ICC money at all.

Mani, a chartered account who was ICC president from 2003-2006, didn’t rule out a split in the cricket world because of this attempt by the ‘Big Three’, but was confident that Indian public opinion would not allow BCCI to get away with its plans and be deprived of competitive cricket. [/size]BCCI, the world’s richest cricket Board worth Rs 3,621.94 crore, along with Cricket Australia (CA) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has prepared a draft containing a revolutionary proposal to revamp ICC’s structure, governance, and financial model.“I was getting information and vibes that something was cooking, much before the draft was presented at a January 9 ICC meeting and later was leaked to the media. I was absolutely horrified and shocked when I read the draft three days ago. This shows total disregard to the ICC,” Mani told Mail Today in an interview.“I was involved with the ICC for 17 years (1989-2006) and know its history since 1909. It’s one of the most dangerous things to have happened to the ICC, and I say this very categorically,” he said.“It’s a crude attempt at total hijacking of the ICC by the three Boards,” he said.

The Indians has forgotten how they were treated when veto powers were in the hands of the Australians and England,They forgot that South Asian countries , Zimbabwe,    and the West Indies stuck with them and form a power block the thwarted any move to reform the ICC rules by the white countries for their advantage .
They are willing now to sacrifice these smaller financially disadvantaged countries for the almighty rupee but I've got news for them  , cricket  fans in the big three will desert them droves when they are deprive of seeing stars from the smaller nations.
This is especially pertinent as it relates to the  West Indies where inspite of their losing record recently , they always have a superstar or two in their line up which cricket fans love to see.
This selfish trait seems to be embedded in Indians and Indo people everywhere

When the West Indies were a powerhouse the engaged in test matches with England more than any country because of a special relationship with England and the Caribbean and it filled the coffers of England ' They too have  forgotten but it was to be expected from them .
India on the other hand represents  a  betrayal

it seems to me that cricket is facing serious questions:

as to the format that we can go into the future with and on.

can test cricket survive?

how does the system of touring that waxed warm and rich in the old days survive the  increasing number of test nations and constant touring?

how can cricket survive internationally  if the game is not fit and strong, in every nation, growing in popular acclaim..not just in the big 3?

how does concentration of the wealth in 3 nations serve this general reality..the essential collective need and purpose of survival and growth of the game...

that the organization of the international as administered by the current ICC is old, colonialist, elitist and racist and does not serve the interest of the positive development of the game and must be reformed from the ground up..and that this is a priority..indeed #1 priority..and that all other questions must be considered only when such reformed is achieved

it is clear that the  ICC as it is currently constituted cannot deal with reform..that as constituted it brings to the fore of its administration only such old attitudes of prejudice and conservatism that is responsible for the current sorry state of international cricket unable to meet the demands of the day and so the ICC has failed in its mission of effective administration of the game

only a democratically oriented ICC can deal with those questions positively.

no old colonial marse and dem can think in any way remotely necessary to address those problems properly.

but that is what cricket is filled up with..in all cricket countries running the show...old colonial marse still wishing they were part of the old british raj

The English will never accept the blacks and brown as equals where equals treat equals equally and they are  scheming with the Australians to come up with some devious plan to thwart Indian power and the stupid Indians are going along with them.
Regardless of what  one believe Australia  and England does not need India .
The Ashes are a great revenue generator  and India will get burned along the way . England 's history is replete with the exploitation  of darker skinned people that goes on to this day .
India will rue the day that they lie in bed  with these people.
