what now Mailer? with cricket WC a year away, do you keep this team intact?

We must remember that the core of this England team has had a great run for a few years now including a 3-0 Ashes victory last summer.


We allowed the Aussies the psychological advantage from the time Trott left the touring party and they never looked back. I witnessed some of the best fast bowling I have seen for quite some time from MJ. I enjoyed the sun and twas great to catch up with mates especially at the Adelaide Oval.


It was painful though.


That said I will neither aim to make excuses nor belittle the Australians excellent achievement, although their batting is still quite fragile.


I am surprised Carberry has not played an ODI and the team is being shuffled so much. However for the World Cup my initial 18 would be

That is probably what would happen in reality but I think naming KP as captain will bring out the best in him on a big stage, being the big stage player he is.


I have no real tactical captaincy advantage to prefer Eoin but we are unclear where the allegations end and the reality begins apropos the 'feud' between KP and AF.

I say KP . Here is someone  who is not burdened with the stiff upper lip or being staid .. A free spirit . knows how to enjoy  life .
Sometimes I confuse him  a westindian.
He cannot do any worse than the present captain
