deo has not improved since he scored what shud have been an establishing 82 in Oz.  he does not engender confidence... often plays ridiculous shots to get after getting starts.

his bowling is much more useful and gives a much better feeling of him than his batting.  but his place is as a batsman first.

Deo took 2 wickets and made a good fifty---and don't forget his great catch---he showed a lot of application----he has earned his place for the remaining 2 tests of the series.

Oh come on, they guy scored a 50 last game and picked 2 wickets. Why wouldn't he be okay?
It'd be really messed up if he gets dropped next match - he should get an extended run.
