DARREN BRAVO: Averages 31.20 The Last 2 Years

OK Folks!

* Darren Bravo has now played in 25 tests.

* That means he is no longer a newbie.

* The man should be producing big by now.

* After 25 tests, the great Lara averaged 55.68--and had already scored 375--in his 16th test.

* Now! It is true that Bravo has a healthy 42.65 test average after 25 tests

* But Darren Bravo has averaged only 31.20 in 12 tests with 1 hundred in the past 2 years

THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE FOLKS!

There is something not right with young Bravo ? What is it ? The man is struggling. How can the WI #3 batsman average only 31.20 in the past 2 years ?

PS. Where is snoopdog ? He is the expert on Darren Bravo on this forum.

Actually Darren Bravo got 3 good starts against India in the recent series----he just didn't carry on----hopefully he will carry on against #8 ranked New Zealand.

* By the way, Bravo averages 42.80 at #3 and 43.80 at #4

* The truth is Bravo's production has declined over the last 2 years---has nothing to do with batting position.

BOTTOM LINE:

Bravo is an over hyped batsman---he doesn't even average 40 in first class----that tells you a lot about his true caliber.

He had an excellent start in test cricket---averaging 68 in his first series against SL----then when he toured India in 2011 he averaged 67 with 2 hundreds.

But since that Indian series in 2011---these are Bravo's series averages:

36.80 vs AUS---not bad

16.20 vs ENG----terrible

6.00 vs Zim---shocking

25.00 vs India---poor


Hope Bravo's luck changes against #8 New Zealand.
