There is no question the great man's style is ugly and crabbie  and his scoring rate is pedestrian, but no one with a functioning brain can deny that when it comes to production and productivity Shiv Chanderpaul has delivered the goods with remarkable consistency during his long and illustrious career. And the bottom line when you are a batsman is the runs you score not how you score those runs.
