Obviously he was a very different player and was reasonably successful with it, but does not mean that everyone can be. Players like Chanderpaul are rare talents and it is almost impossible for any one else to have that kind of success doing things his way if he did not have the requisite talent and fortitude to play like that. Even the great Don Bradman was imitated by very few players since he was very unorthodox for his times
