Police cannot yet say that the person was murdered, as they have not yet identified a cause of death, nor has the victim been identified. The victim is believed to be a woman, based on the presence of yellow nail polish on the toenails.
Earlier today, police said that the body parts found in the Credit River were not related to Luka Magnotta, who was arrested for the murder and dismemberment of Jun Lin in June, nor to missing Brampton teen Mila Johnson.Police say it seems safe to assume two severed hands found in Mississauga, Ontario are from the same person as a foot and a head found earlier this week. Police say there is nothing to suggest a link to alleged killer Luka Rocco Magnotta.
